The Wahpeton-Breckenridge community is located on the southern end of the Red River Valley. The valley contains some of the richest farmland in the world and our farmers are some of the largest, most successful farmers in the country. Wahpeton has the highest per capita amount of manufacturing in the state of North Dakota. We have high-tech companies such as ComDel Innovation and WCCO Belting, farm implement manufacturers such as Titan Machinery, and value added farm product plants (Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative is a sugar processing plant and Cargill is a corn processing plant). Two highly innovative companies Monsato-PrimeBoard and Woodcraft Industries (formerly PrimeWood) started in Wahpeton and are known worldwide for their unique creation of laminated wood and other similar products (PrimeBoard manufactures products from wheat straw). Another unique company, SunOpta, buys and sells sunflowers all over the world. We are proud to have had the opportunity to provide legal help to many of these companies. One of the reasons our community is so manufacturing oriented is because we have one of the finer technology-based junior colleges in the country. The North Dakota State College of Science is located in Wahpeton and it routinely provides highly sought-after graduates who work not just locally, but all over the world. As you can tell, we are very proud of our community. Our values are small town, but residents are worldly and successful.
